Wildlife sightings

Cape Clawless Otter, Western Leopard toad, frogs, bird species such African spoonbill, red-knobbed coot, reed cormorant, white breasted cormorant, grey heron, malachite kingfisher and giant kingfisher have all been seen on the river in our village. The otters picture below is taken from Facebook (credit Dylan O'Hagan), and was taken at Zandvlei. However, we have spotted an otter briefly showing its head in the Westlake River and there has also been clear evidence of otter droppings next to the Camargue bridge.
