RIVER BANK COMES ALIVE WITH NEW LIFE

Saturday 23 May marked a special day in our river restoration project as we held a community planting day.

One of our major goals has been to restore a pilot section of the Westlake River bank in Orchard Village with indigenous plants - and this came to fruition as we received around 200 plants from Fynbos Life. We secured the river banks with rocks, concrete slabs and wood to provide more stability. This followed our extensive work in clearing the invasive reeds.

There was a wonderful turnout from the community to help with the planting, making for a successful day and enjoyable day!
